Community Groups

At Ascension, we value community and recognize the importance of connecting with others. We spend time after our Sunday gatherings during our Coffee Hour to meet one another. Another great way to connect is at our Community Groups.

It's always a great time to join in on the activities in our Groups and learn something new. If you're interested in finding out more about any of them, please check out the Community Calendar for upcoming events and email us at info@ascensionforesthills.org.

Marriage Group

The Marriage Group is intended to strengthen married couples and also build fellowship. It meets a few times a year for discussion over a particular topic and to share a meal.

Men's Group

The Men's Group connects the guys in our community over a meal and discussion. The guys often go out for a movie, watch a game, or do a book study together. Check out the

Women’s Sunday Discipleship Group
Meets monthly on the 1st Sunday
In an effort to build up the women in our church in Christ, the Discipleship Group studies what it means to be women of faith. The ladies study God's Word and how to keep it at heart, discuss application and experience, and pray with and for one another. There is also a focus on Scripture memorization, with support and encouragement from one another in the group. The current passage is Romans 12.

Women’s Daytime Group
Meets weekly on Tuesday mornings @ 9:30am, Kessel St/near 75th Ave
All women are welcome to come enjoy a time of fellowship and a cup of coffee/tea. The women are currently going through a study called Galatians: Living in Line with the Truth of the Gospel. Childcare is provided (around $5 per family). A great opportunity for the children to participate in a playdate while the adults get together and study the Word!

Weekly Co-Ed Growth Group
Meets weekly on Wednesday evenings @ 7:30pm, Fleet St/near Yellowstone Blvd
Meetings include study/discussion and prayer.

Youth Group
The Youth Group is currently open to those who are in the 6th grade and above, with exceptions granted on a case basis. The youth meet for fellowship, usually involving fun, food, and a faith-building focus. During the school year, the meetings are on the second Friday and some time during the fourth weekend of every month for some sort of outing or activity. During the summer, the schedule is less regular, but we still have outings. See the Community Calendar for what is coming up.

There is also a Youth Group Christian Education Class every Sunday morning before the 11am meeting.
